Terms of Sale

These Terms of Sale apply to every order placed with DEMONT Cores ("DEMONT", "we") — online, by phone, by email or from a quote. By placing an order you agree to them. Terms on a customer purchase order do not apply unless DEMONT agrees to them in writing.

1. Accounts

  • Orders are accepted from approved business accounts. You are responsible for everyone who signs in to your company's account and for keeping passwords private.
  • DEMONT may approve, limit, suspend or close an account at its discretion, including when information provided is inaccurate or these terms are not followed.

2. Restricted products and key control

  • DEMONT Restricted and DEMONT+ products are restricted key-control products. DEMONT+ products are sold only to contracted DEMONT+ dealers; dealer keyways are sold only to the dealer they are assigned to.
  • Keys are cut only to key systems on file with DEMONT — never to bittings supplied online. Orders without proper system identification may be held or cancelled.
  • You agree not to resell restricted keyways, key blanks or keyed products to anyone not authorized to buy them, and not to copy, reverse-engineer or have others duplicate restricted or patented keyways.
  • DEMONT may refuse or cancel any order that, in its judgment, could compromise a customer's key control.

3. Prices

  • Prices are in U.S. dollars. Approved dealers see their dealer price when signed in; other customers pay the list price (MSRP). Quoted prices are valid until the quote's expiration date.
  • Prices, availability and specifications may change without notice. If an item is priced in error, DEMONT will contact you before shipping; you may cancel the affected items.
  • Sales tax is charged where DEMONT is required to collect it. Tax-exempt customers must have a valid certificate on file.

4. Orders

  • An order is accepted when DEMONT confirms it or ships it. DEMONT may cancel an order (or part of one) before shipment — for example for availability, pricing errors, credit or key-control reasons — and will refund anything charged for the cancelled items.
  • Combinated cores, keyed cylinders and cut keys are made to order. Lead times shown are estimates, not guarantees.
  • Once a made-to-order item has been combinated, keyed or cut it cannot be changed or cancelled.

5. Payment

  • Card: your card is charged when you place the order. If you choose to save your card for the order, DEMONT may charge it for a difference in material or additional shipping charges for that order; you will be emailed a receipt for every such charge, and you can remove the card from the order at any time from its order page.
  • Account terms (e.g. Net 30, Net 7): available to approved accounts within the credit limit DEMONT sets. Invoices are due by the due date shown. When an account is past due or over its limit, online ordering on terms may be paused until payment is received.
  • Past-due balances may be charged collection costs where permitted by law. DEMONT may hold shipments for accounts that are past due.

6. Shipping and delivery

  • Orders ship from Eighty Four, Pennsylvania by the method you choose at checkout. Shipping charges are calculated at checkout or quoted after the order (freight).
  • Title and risk of loss pass to you when the order is handed to the carrier, except where DEMONT ships on its own account.
  • Inspect shipments on arrival. Report shortages, wrong items or visible damage within 5 business days of delivery (keep the packaging for carrier claims).

7. Returns

Returns are covered by our Returns Policy.

8. Limited warranty

DEMONT warrants that its products are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for one (1) year from shipment. DEMONT will, at its option, repair or replace a defective product, or refund its price. This warranty does not cover wear, misuse, improper installation, alteration, or products keyed or modified by anyone other than DEMONT. THIS WARRANTY REPLACES ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

9. Limitation of liability

DEMONT's total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount paid for the products involved. DEMONT is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including lost profits or the cost of rekeying, to the extent permitted by law. DEMONT products are one part of a security system; DEMONT does not guarantee that any premises will be secure.

10. Intellectual property

DEMONT+ keyways and key profiles are protected by patents and other rights. Buying products does not grant any license to make, copy or have made any keyway, key blank or key profile.

11. General

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. DEMONT may update these terms; the version on this page when you order applies to that order. If any part is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
