This policy explains what information DEMONT Cores ("DEMONT", "we") collects through this website and customer portal, and how it is used. This site is intended for businesses in the locking and security industry.

Information we collect

• Account information: company name, business type, contact names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses, and documents you upload to verify your business or tax status.
• Orders and account activity: what you order and quote, ship-to locations, purchase order numbers, invoices, payments and messages with DEMONT.
• Key-control information: key systems, keyways and authorizations on file, and key-cutting details you provide with orders.
• Payment information: card payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers are entered directly into Stripe's secure form and never reach or are stored by DEMONT. We keep the card brand, last four digits and payment status. If you choose to save your card for an order, the card is stored by Stripe.
• Technical information: sign-in records (date, IP address and browser) kept for security, and the cookies described below.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to run the site: a sign-in session cookie and short-lived security cookies. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not sell information.

How we use information

To create and manage accounts; verify businesses and dealer eligibility; process, ship and support orders; protect key control (for example, making sure restricted products and keys go only to authorized customers); send order, invoice, payment and account emails; prevent fraud and keep the site secure; and meet legal and accounting obligations.

Who we share it with

Only service providers who help us run the business, for those purposes: Stripe (card payments), UPS and other carriers (shipping addresses and package details), our email provider (Google Workspace) for sending email, and our accountants and advisers. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect DEMONT, our customers or others. We do not sell or rent personal information.

Security

Passwords are stored only as secure hashes, sign-in can be protected with an authenticator app, connections are encrypted (HTTPS), and access to account information is limited to people who need it.

Keeping information

We keep account and order records for as long as your account is active and as long as needed for accounting, tax, warranty and key-control records (key-system records may be kept for the life of the system).

Your choices

You can view and update your company and contact details in your account, and ask us to correct information or close your account. Some records must be kept for legal or key-control reasons.

Changes

We may update this policy; changes take effect when they are posted on this page.
